If you are in a mental health crisis or are worried that you may need help to avoid a crisis, there are several options open to you. If you’re in immediate danger or considering acting on suicidal thoughts, ring 999 for an ambulance, or go to the A&E department of the nearest hospital where you can be get help from the specialist mental health teams working within the A&E service. Oasis’s Crisis Cafe is also available, as are various duty workers at NHS mental health services and Solihull Social Care.

If you need to talk to someone out of normal office hours then you can use our crisis café service, open seven days a week and 365 days a year, from 6pm to 11pm at our Faulkner Road building. You can also call The Samaritans on 116 123 (free). It’s not just for people who are suicidal, it’s for anyone who needs someone to talk to and available 24 hours a day. The out of hours Duty Worker at Solihull Social Care can be contacted on 0121 605 6060 If you are being supported by one of the community mental health teams, then during office hours you can ring and ask to speak to your CPN or social worker etc. Lyndon Clinic can be contacted on 0121 301 4800, &Maple Leaf on 0121 301 4950.
The duty worker can also be contacted for immediate help during office hours (whether or not you are already supported by specialist mental health services) by ringing 0121 301 4950 or 0121 301 4800 and asking for the duty worker. There is also a duty worker at Solihull Social Care (all disabilities/issues) during office hours on 0121 704 8007.
